Architectural Description

Arbor Row (Blocks A1 & A2) is located in Fairfax County, Virginia. The project consists of one, 16-story high-rise tower and two mid-rise apartment buildings, each situated over one or two parking levels. The first through fourth levels of each building incorporate portions of retail and amenity spaces. Each block also includes a courtyard with a swimming pool.

Structural Description

Foundations include conventional spread footings for the two mid-rise buildings and a mat slab for the high-rise building. The concrete floors are post-tensioned, cast-in-place concrete slabs with curtain walls, storefront exteriors, and cold-formed steel infill between the structural slabs. The mid-rise buildings are designed with five stories of prefabricated, Type 3A wood-framed roof and floor trusses over a concrete cast-in-place podium level.
